* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Fairfield County in central South Carolina...
  Lancaster County in central South Carolina...
  Northwestern Chesterfield County in central South Carolina...
  Northwestern Kershaw County in central South Carolina...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 430 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Lake Wylie to near Carlisle, moving east at 30
  mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lancaster, Winnsboro, Springdale, Lake Wateree Dam, Indian Land,
  Pageland, Kershaw, Elgin, Heath Springs, Westville, USC Lancaster,
  Irwin, Liberty Hill, Blackstock, Andrew Jackson State Park, Van
  Wyck, Longtown, Buford, Lake Wateree State Park, and Lebanon Fire
  Station.

This includes Interstate 77 between mile markers 36 and 51.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Persons in campgrounds should seek shelter until these storms pass.

Severe thunderstorms can produce large capsizing waves and frequent
lightning. If on or near Lake Wateree move away from the water and
take shelter!
