...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN NEWBERRY AND NORTH CENTRAL SALUDA COUNTIES...

At 254 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles southwest of Newberry College, or 7 miles
southwest of Newberry, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Silverstreet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a
vehicle, move to an interior room or closet on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building immediately.

or hear the tornado. Immediately move to an interior room or closet
on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
