The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Chariton County in north central Missouri...
  Randolph County in north central Missouri...
  Howard County in central Missouri...
  Eastern Saline County in central Missouri...
  Southeastern Macon County in north central Missouri...
  Cooper County in central Missouri...

* Until 230 AM CDT.

* At 109 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 8 miles northeast of Hale to 10 miles southeast of
  Slater to 7 miles southeast of Smithton, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Public.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Moberly, Boonville, Fayette, Slater, Salisbury, Huntsville,
  Glasgow, New Franklin, Brunswick, Pilot Grove, Higbee, Keytesville,
  Otterville, Bunceton, Clark, Cairo, Armstrong, Prairie Home,
  Gilliam, and Nelson.

This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 86 and
114.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for central and
north central Missouri.
