...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Clay, O`Brien,
  Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties.

  Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.

  Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay
  County.

  Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

  Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Linn Grove.

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, the city park in Sioux Rapids is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 18.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 AM CDT Monday was 19.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.9
    feet this afternoon or evening. The magnitude of this rise
    will ultimately be determined by how much rain falls this
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

  areas begins.

  - At 8:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 11.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 AM CDT Monday was 11.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.8
    feet by early tomorrow afternoon. The magnitude of this rise
    will ultimately be determined by how much rain falls this
    evening.

    ending at 8:00 AM CDT Monday was 13.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.1
    feet by early Wednesday afternoon. The magnitude of this rise
    will ultimately be determined by how much rain falls this
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
