FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SE SD/SW MN/NW IA/NE NEBRASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SIOUX FALLS SD
403 PM CDT TUE APR 15 2014

.DISCUSSION...
LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY. GUSTY
SOUTH WINDS AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM TONIGHT WILL BECOME WEST TO NORTHWEST
AND INCREASE FURTHER DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL ALSO
BRING FAIRLY WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION CHANCES TO AREAS NORTH OF I-90
ON WEDNESDAY...MAINLY RAIN BUT SOME LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE
POSSIBLE NEAR THE HIGHWAY 14 CORRIDOR. A LOWER CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN
WILL BE SEEN FARTHER SOUTH. MOST AREAS WILL MORNING TO EARLY AFTERNOON
HIGH TEMPERATURES...WITH READINGS STEADY OR FALLING DURING THE MID TO
LATE AFTERNOON HOURS.

COOLER TEMPERATURES WILL AGAIN MOVE INTO THE REGION BEHIND THE SYSTEM
FOR THURSDAY...ACCOMPANIED BY LIGHTER WINDS AND HIGHER HUMIDITIES. A
WARMING TREND IS STILL ON TRACK FOR FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND
INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THURSDAY
THROUGH NEXT TUESDAY...WITH THE EXCEPTION LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN A CHANCE OF RAIN WILL AFFECT MOST AREAS. GUSTY
SOUTHEAST TO SOUTH WINDS WILL LIKELY ACCOMPANY THE WARMING FRIDAY AND
SATURDAY...BUT AT THIS TIME LIGHTER AND SOMEWHAT MORE VARIABLE WINDS
ARE ANTICIPATED SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
