THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL
SOUTH DAKOTA...SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA AND SOUTHEAST SOUTH
DAKOTA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

NORTHWEST WINDS WILL AVERAGE 25 TO 35 MPH THROUGH LATE THURSDAY
AFTERNOON...WITH FREQUENT GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH. THE NORTHWEST
WINDS WILL THEN SETTLE INTO A 20 TO 30 MPH RANGE THURSDAY NIGHT.
THE STRONG WINDS...COUPLED WITH HUMIDITY VALUES OF 25 TO 30
PERCENT...WILL CREATE A GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER PRIMARILY IN THE
VERY HIGH CATEGORY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

WINDS WILL STILL AVERAGE 20 TO 35 MPH ON FRIDAY...BUT WITH HIGHER
MINIMUM HUMIDITY VALUES...THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER SHOULD REMAIN
IN THE HIGH CATEGORY. THESE CONDITIONS COULD PRODUCE SOME FIRE
ACTIVITY...BUT SHOULD REMAIN RATHER LIMITED.
