REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR THE NORTH CENTRAL UNITED STATES

HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE TOWARD THE GREAT LAKES TONIGHT. AT THE SAME
TIME...LOW PRESSURE WILL BE DEVELOPING OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS.  AS
IT DOES...INCREASING SOUTH WINDS WILL BRING WARMER AIR INTO THE
EASTERN PLAINS. AS THIS WARM AIR MOVES NORTH...SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP DURING THE EVENING. WHILE
THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF RAIN ACROSS MUCH OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS
OVERNIGHT...THE BEST CHANCE WILL BE ACROSS NORTH DAKOTA. WITH THE
INCREASING WINDS AND WARM AIR...LOWS OVERNIGHT WILL BE IN THE 40S
AND 50S OVER THE DAKOTAS...NEBRASKA AND IOWA WITH 30S CONFINED TO
NORTHEAST MINNESOTA.

A COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY MOVE ACROSS THE PLAINS ON WEDNESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
MUCH OF THE DAY OVER MUCH OF MINNESOTA AND EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA.
OVER SOUTH DAKOTA AND NEBRASKA THERE MAY A BREAK AS THE FIRST WAVE
OF SHOWERS MOVE NORTHEAST. AS WARMER AIR MOVES IN AND THE COLD FRONT
APPROACHES...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP
OVER NEBRASKA AS WELL AS CENTRAL AND EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA DURING
THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BE SEVERE
OVER NEBRASKA. IT WILL ALSO BE WINDY ACROSS THE REGION. HIGHS ON
WEDNESDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE 40S AND 50S IN THE RAIN COOLED AIR
OVER MUCH OF MINNESOTA AND EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA...TO AROUND 80
DEGREES OVER CENTRAL NEBRASKA.
