REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR THE NORTH CENTRAL UNITED STATES

A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH FROM THE NORTHWEST LATE THIS AFTERNOON
BRINGING A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT. AHEAD OF
THIS FRONT WINDS WILL TURN FROM THE SOUTH TO THE SOUTHWEST AND WEST
WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 MPH AT TIMES. WITH ABUNDANT SUNSHINE
TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB WELL INTO THE 70S WITH 80 TO 85 DEGREES
LIKELY FROM SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA INTO EASTERN NEBRASKA. THE
COMBINATION OF VERY WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WITH STRONG WESTERLY
WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TONIGHT BUT
SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED. LOWS WILL MAINLY BE IN THE 40S WITH
A GUSTY NORTHWEST WIND.
