A SLOW MOVING STORM SYSTEM WILL LIFT NORTH ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH
THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEKEND...THEN LINGER NEAR THE CANADIAN BORDER
THROUGH SUNDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL SPREAD THUNDERSTORMS AND A POTENTIAL
FOR HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH TONIGHT. THE BEST CHANCES
FOR WIDESPREAD RAIN THROUGH THE DAY WILL BE ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTH
DAKOTA. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL AND WESTERN
SOUTH DAKOTA. STORMS WILL DIMINISH FOR THE LATTER HALF OF THE
WEEKEND...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE REGION.

TEMPERATURES WILL VARY GREATLY ACROSS THE REGION THIS WEEKEND...WITH
HIGHS TODAY RANGING FROM 60S IN FAR NORTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA...TO
AROUND 90 FROM THE LOWER MISSOURI RIVER VALLEY INTO SOUTHERN IOWA. BY
SUNDAY...THE 60S WILL EXPAND ACROSS NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL SOUTH
DAKOTA...WHILE THE READINGS NEAR 90 SHIFT INTO AREAS FROM EASTERN
IOWA TO SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA.
