REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR THE NORTH CENTRAL UNITED STATES

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL LIFT NORTH TO NORTHEAST ACROSS THE
WESTERN PLAINS TODAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL GIVE INCLEMENT WEATHER FOR
MUCH OF THE REGION TODAY IN TERMS OF RAINFALL AND WINDY CONDITIONS.
WIND ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN POSTED FOR PARTS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL
SOUTH DAKOTA...AS WELL AS NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. IN ADDITION...
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL TRANSLATE EASTWARD THROUGH THE
DAY...MOVING INTO THE EASTERN PLAINS BY MIDDAY AND INTO THE
AFTERNOON. A FEW AFTERNOON SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE IN A BAND
EXTENDING FROM NORTHEAST NEBRASKA...INTO EAST CENTRAL AND NORTH
CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. COOLER TEMPERATURES WILL PREVAIL FOR THE REST
OF THE WEEK...WITH FRIDAY IN PARTICULAR BEING A CHILLY AND VERY
WINDY DAY.

HIGHS TODAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL BE IN THE 60S AND 70S. LOWS TONIGHT
WILL VARY FROM THE 40S ACROSS THE WESTERN PLAINS...TO 55 TO 60
ACROSS THE EAST.
