REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR THE NORTH CENTRAL UNITED STATES

LOW PRESSURE ACROSS MONTANA WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP OVERNIGHT AND SATURDAY
MORNING TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THE LOW PRESSURE TRACK. THE AREA
NEAR THE CANADIAN BORDER MAY SEE SOME SNOW WHILE THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BE POSSIBLE OVER IOWA AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA...MAINLY AFTER
MIDNIGHT. AFTER MORNING SHOWERS OVER THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF
MINNESOTA AND IOWA...MUCH OF THE REGION WILL EXPERIENCE A PARTLY
CLOUDY AND WARM AFTERNOON. BY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING
THE THREAT FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS INCREASES AS LOW PRESSURE
DEVELOPS OVER THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS. SOME OF THE
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN AND EASTERN IOWA COULD BECOME SEVERE
LATE IN THE DAY AND INTO SATURDAY EVENING. SHOWERS WILL SPREAD
ACROSS MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY. RAIN MAY MIX WITH OR SWITCH OVER TO SNOW ACROSS THE DAKOTAS
AND MINNESOTA LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING. THE
PRECIPITATION WILL WIND DOWN SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT AS DRY HIGH
PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE REGION.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL BE PRIMARILY IN THE 30S AND 40S
ALTHOUGH MUCH OF IOWA AND EASTERN NEBRASKA WILL BE MILDER...IN THE
LOWER AND MID 50S. HIGHS ON SATURDAY IN THE 60S AND 70S WILL BE
COMMON ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. COOLER 40S AND 50S WILL PREVAIL
ACROSS NORTH DAKOTA AND NORTHERN MINNESOTA. SUNDAY WILL BE MUCH
COLDER WITH HIGHS IN THE 30S AND 40S. SOUTHERN IOWA AND SOUTHEAST
NEBRASKA WILL BE WARMER HOWEVER WITH READINGS IN THE 50S AND 60S.
