TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE THROUGH
MONDAY...WITH A COLD FRONT BRINGING SOME RELIEF FROM THE HEAT BY
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL INCREASE INTO THE UPPER 80S
THROUGH THE 90S...WITH READINGS AS HIGH AS 105 DEGREES IN SOUTH
CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA ON MONDAY. VERY HUMID CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY
ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 29...WILL LEAD TO WIDESPREAD TRIPLE
DIGIT HEAT INDEX VALUES DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING
HOURS...AND HEAT ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN POSTED THROUGHOUT THE REGION.

THE COLD FRONT WILL BRING AN INCREASED CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS
WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA BY MONDAY AFTERNOON...WITH THESE STORMS THEN
SPREADING EASTWARD INTO EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND MINNESOTA MONDAY
NIGHT. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE...ESPECIALLY IN
NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA. HIGHS ON TUESDAY WILL
BE COOLER IN THE 80S AND LOWER 90S.
