THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6
PM CST WEDNESDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT AND BECOME
  HEAVY AT TIMES ON WEDNESDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER
  OFF ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

* ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 7 INCHES IS EXPECTED.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...NORTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25
  MPH ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THIS MAY PRODUCE DRIFTING SNOW ON
  EAST-WEST HIGHWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 3 PM CST WEDNESDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AROUND MIDNIGHT WEST OF
  INTERSTATE 29 AND MOVE INTO NORTHWEST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST
  MINNESOTA AFTER MIDNIGHT. SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE HEAVIEST
  AROUND THE MORNING COMMUTE. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF DURING THE
  AFTERNOON ACROSS THE AREA.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOWFALL WILL RANGE FROM AROUND 2 INCHES NEAR
  SIOUX CITY TO NEAR 6 INCHES AROUND CHEROKEE AND JACKSON.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...NORTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH ARE
  EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THIS MAY PRODUCE DRIFTING
  SNOW...ESPECIALLY ON EAST-WEST ROADS.
