This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Rest of this afternoon and tonight.

Near critical fire weather conditions may be noted at times,
especially west of a line from Kearney Nebraska to Phillipsburg
Kansas. Such conditions include relative humidity values down
to 20-25 percent and occasional south wind gusts over 20 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday afternoon may bring near critical to critical fire
weather conditions to areas southeast of a line from Hebron
Nebraska to Stockton Kansas, where relative humidity values
could drop to near 20 percent and winds may gust over 20 mph
at times.

Though exact details are still uncertain, a strong upper level
low pressure will move across the entire outlook area late Monday
and Tuesday. At this time, there appears to be risk of strong to
severe thunderstorms for at least part of the area, especially
along and east of Highway 281 Monday evening and overnight.

Strong northwest winds will prevail on the backside of the low
pressure system next winds. Sustained winds near 30 mph with
gusts to at least 45 mph may occur later Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday.
