...FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Warning is cancelled for a portion of Southeast Kansas,
including the following areas, Allen and Woodson.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat over the next few
hours, however additional rainfall is expected tonight. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following
  counties, Neosho and Wilson.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
  excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
  inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 717 PM CDT, Local law enforcement continues to report some
    minor flooding across the area.
  - Flooding impacts are expected to continue.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Parsons, Chanute, Neodesha, Fredonia, Erie, St. Paul, Thayer,
    Altoona, Buffalo, Galesburg, Benedict, Stark, New Albany,
    Earlton, Coyville, Chanute Airport, Lake Parsons, South Mound
    and Buxton.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.
