This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

The combination of warm temperatures and dry air will lead to
elevated fire weather concerns this afternoon. However, winds will be
generally light from the west and northwest.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected to continue into Sunday
across the area. While anomalous warmth will drive afternoon
humidity values down to around 20 percent, marginal winds of 20 mph
or less will preclude headlines.

We continue to monitor a stronger storm system moving onto the
Plains in the Monday and Tuesday time frame. While confidence in
placement of greatest fire weather and thunderstorm potential is
somewhat uncertain, greater certainty is in seeing strong wind gusts
in the 40 to 50 mph range across much of the area. Strong to severe
thunderstorms will also be possible Monday evening and night, with
the greatest threat near and southeast of a Hayes Center to Butte
line. Folks with outdoor plans should continue to monitor later
forecasts for up to date information.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
