  Calcasieu River Near Glenmora

For the Calcasieu River...including Glenmora, Kinder, White Oak
Park...Moderate flooding is forecast.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Calcasieu River near Kinder.

* WHEN...Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, If gage reading at Kinder reaches 18 feet,
  flooding begins to cut off some of the roads around Topsy in
  Northwest Jefferson Davis Parish.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:15 AM CDT Tuesday was 18.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.5
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Calcasieu River near Glenmora.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Some roads upstream from Glenmora,
  including Strothers Crossing Road near the community of Calcasieu
  and Price Crossing Road near Hineston have two to three feet of
  water over the road and are subject to being closed. Flooding of
  forested areas near the river will also occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 14.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 14.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Saturday morning and continue falling to 11.9 feet Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
