Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
214 PM CDT Sun May 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Rain and some thunderstorms are expected tonight mainly across
southeast Missouri into southern Illinois. This will clear up by
Monday morning with winds turning to the southeast and a humid air
mass returning to the region. Another round of widespread
thunderstorms is expected Monday night. Locally significant
rainfall is possible. Tuesday will be briefly drier but more humid
air returns for Wednesday with more showers and thunderstorms
possible. A cold front Wednesday night ushers in cooler, drier air
for the remainder of the week.
