.Discussion...
High pressure over the western Atlantic extending across Florida
today starts to shift well offshore Friday, with another area of
high pressure building down the eastern seaboard to Florida over
the weekend. Min RHs remain 40-45 pct across the interior, with
higher values for the coastal areas, through the weekend. Isolated
lightning storms will be possible well inland this afternoon, and
dry conditions forecast Friday. Light easterly winds in the
morning increase to generally around 10 mph in the afternoon, but
periods of 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph will be possible.
Smoke dispersion Generally to Very Good.Afternoon highs in the
U80s-90 inland and L-M80s along the I-95 corridor. Peak afternoon
heat indices around 90 inland and M-U80s along the I-95 corridor.
Fog potential and other remarks...Patchy fog will be possible in
parts Volusia, Seminole, Orange, and Brevard counties this
morning. Ground fog will be possible across much of the rest of
east central Florida. Localized visibility reductions due to
smoke from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is
not forecast.
