HIGH PRESSURE BROUGHT MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT NORTHERNLY WINDS
TO MUCH OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS OVERNIGHT. LOW TEMPERATURES ACROSS
SOUTH DAKOTA VARIED FROM THE MIDDLE 50S TO MIDDLE 60S. THE COOLEST
READING WAS 53 DEGREES IN THE WEST RIVER TOWN OF PINE RIDGE. WHILE
BOTH SIOUX FALLS AND YANKTON SHARED THE WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE WITH
62 DEGREES.

AT LATE MORNING...ABUNDANT SUNSHINE AND LIGHT WINDS GRACED SOUTH
DAKOTA AS HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUED TO INFLUENCE THE REGION. THE
TEMPERATURES WERE MAINLY IN THE MIDDLE 70S TO LOWER 80S AROUND THE
RUSHMORE STATE.

IT WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON AS SOUTHERLY WINDS AT
5 TO 10 MPH SPREAD ACROSS THE STATE. EXPECT HIGH TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB
INTO THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 80S IN MOST AREAS...WITH THE WARMEST
READINGS WEST OF THE MISSOURI RIVER.
