MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WERE SEEN THROUGHOUT MUCH OF SOUTH DAKOTA DURING
THE NIGHT. THERE WERE A FEW CLOUDS IN THE FAR NORTHEAST AND SOUTH
CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE STATE. OTHERWISE PATCHY DENSE FOG DEVELOPED
ALONG AND EAST OF THE INTERSTATE 29 CORRIDOR TOWARD DAYBREAK.

LOW TEMPERATURES WERE VERY MILD WITH READINGS MAINLY IN THE 60S TO
LOWER 70S. THE COOLEST TEMPERATURE WAS 58 DEGREES IN THE TOWN OF
PINE RIDGE. WHILE THE WARMEST READING OF 73 DEGREES OCCURRED AT BOTH
SISSETON AND SIOUX FALLS.

AT MID MORNING...MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND VERY WARM TEMPERATURES ARE
PREVAILING AROUND EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. WEST OF THE JAMES RIVER
VALLEY...NORTHWEST WINDS ARE USHERING SLIGHTLY COOLER AIR INTO THE
REGION. TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE 70S TO LOWER 80S ARE COMMON ALONG
AND WEST OF THE MISSOURI RIVER...WITH MIDDLE AND UPPER 80S ELSEWHERE.

EXPECT PLENTY OF SUNSHINE THIS AFTERNOON AS NORTHERLY WINDS AT 15 TO
25 MPH PREVAIL ACROSS THE STATE. TEMPERATURES WILL WARM INTO THE
MIDDLE 80S TO LOWER 90S...WITH THE COOLEST READINGS IN FAR NORTHEAST
PARTS OF SOUTH DAKOTA.
