...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Coke, Nolan and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 336 PM CDT, thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall
    extended from just north of Robert Lee to Blackwell to
    Buffalo Gap...moving northeast at 15 mph.Doppler radar
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Abilene, Blackwell, Wylie, Nolan, Merkel, Tye, Tuscola,
    Buffalo Gap, Trent, Lawn, Coronados Camp, Happy Valley,
    Hylton, View, Bradshaw, Caps, Fort Chadbourne, Dyess Afb,
    Maryneal and Potosi.
  - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 257 and 292.

    This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Intersections along Sammons Street, Intersections along
    Buttonwillow Parkway, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw
    Drive, Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Butternut Underpass,
    US 84 frontage Road crossing Little Elm Creek, FM 2035
    crossing Bitter Creek, FM 1170 crossing Eagle Creek, FM 1086
    crossing Red Lake Creek and FM 89 crossing Elm Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
