...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following
  counties, Cabo Rojo, Guanica, Guayanilla, Juana Diaz, Lajas,
  Penuelas, Ponce, Sabana Grande, San German, Villalba and Yauco.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 328 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
    fallen. Heaviest rainfall is currently in Lajas; stretching
    to Ponce, however is likely to spread.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ponce, Yauco, Adjuntas, Guayanilla, Penuelas, Sabana Grande,
    Guanica, San German, Lajas, Hormigueros, Cabo Rojo, Juana
    Diaz, Villalba, Santo Domingo, Tallaboa Alta, Coto Laurel,
    Monte Grande, Capitanejo, Aguilita and Luis Llorens Torres.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
