...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AST TODAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by flood waters from Rio Guanajibo
  continues.

* WHERE...Cabo Rojo, Hormigueros and Mayaguez.

* WHEN...Until noon AST.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not
  be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
  It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
  work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 632 AM AST, USGS gauge reports indicated the Rio GUanajibo
    at Hormigueros remains above minor flood stage. Flood waters
    are still affecting portions of roads PR-114 and PR-309 in
    Hormigueros. For that reason, the Flood Warning has been
    extended.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, rain activity is forecast for
    the afternoon hours, and it could exacerbate the current
    conditions.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
