...Damage Across Central Leon County Caused By Combination of Two EF-
2 Tornadoes and Intense Straight Line Winds...

Two damage assessment teams from the National Weather Service Office
in Tallahassee spent the day assessing damage across Tallahassee,
western Leon County, and eastern Gadsden County. The initial
determination is that two tornadoes, each with a maximum rating of
EF-2 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, tracked across central Leon
County Friday morning. In addition, an area of intense straight-line
winds accompanied the tornadoes, with winds likely in excess of
100mph. An additional tornado likely tracked across southern Leon
County. An additional survey is planned for Sunday to evaluate
this track.

Additional analysis of the data is ongoing and more details of the
exact tracks of each tornado will be released on Sunday.
