...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM AST THIS EVENING
THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in SAN JUAN has issued a High Rip
Current Risk, which is in effect from 6 PM AST this evening
through Friday afternoon.

* LOCATION...ATLANTIC BEACHES OF PUERTO RICO AND CULEBRA.

* TIMING...THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS THAT WILL CARRY AWAY EVEN THE
  STRONGEST SWIMMERS INTO OPEN WATERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
