While there were a few warm periods during the second and third week
of the month, May completely bucked the trends of much of the last
year, with temperatures below average for the month.

For the third year in a row, no 90-degree temperatures were
recorded in the month of May.

Rainfall was slightly above average, and it was the wettest May in
two years.

Even though temperatures were below average, the average high
temperature was the warmest since 2014, and the average low and
monthly temperatures were the warmest since 2015.
