Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A strong cold front moving over the northwest waters will
continue to advance eastward down the island chain through
midweek. The front is forecast to stall and weaken across the Big
Island waters Wednesday through Thursday. High pressure will build
northwest of the region Thursday through Friday.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR MOST WATERS...

.REST OF TONIGHT...Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots Oahu and Kauai
waters, south 15 to 25 knots elsewhere. Wind waves 4 to 6 feet.
Northwest swell 4 to 6 feet building to 7 to 10 ft northwest
waters late. Numerous heavy showers and thunderstorms.
.TUESDAY...North winds 15 to 20 knots, except south 15 to 20 kt
Big Island waters. Wind waves 4 to 7 feet. Northwest swell 10
feet. Scattered heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms over
Maui County and the Big Island waters.
.TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...North winds 10 to 15 knots. Wind
waves 4 to 5 feet. Northwest swell 11 feet and south 3 feet. Scattered
showers eastern waters.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY...Northeast winds 10 to 20 knots.
Wind waves 3 to 5 feet. Northwest swell 8 to 9 feet. Isolated
showers eastern waters.
.THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY...Northeast winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind
waves 3 to 5 feet. Northwest swell 9 feet, building to 12 feet
after midnight through Friday. Isolated showers.
