Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
Moderate to locally fresh trade winds will persist through the
weekend, as a ridge of high pressure remains far north of the
islands. As the high builds northeast of the area early next week,
the trades will strengthen to locally strong levels across
portions of the coastal waters.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.REST OF TODAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Wind waves 3 to
4 feet. South swell 3 feet and southeast 3 feet. Isolated
showers.
.TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Wind waves 3
to 4 feet. South swell 3 feet and southeast 3 feet. Scattered
showers.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Wind waves 3 to
4 feet. South swell 3 feet in the evening...lowering overnight.
Swell southeast 3 feet. Scattered showers.
.MONDAY...East winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind waves 3 to 5 feet.
Swell southeast 3 feet. Isolated showers.
.TUESDAY...East winds 20 to 30 knots Alenuihaha Channel...east
10 to 20 knots elsewhere. Wind waves 4 to 13 feet. Swell
southeast 3 feet. Scattered showers.
