...Continued Heavy Rainfall May Cause Flooding Across Portions of
Central Alabama...

A prolonged period of moderate to heavy rains will continue to
add up and could result in rises in rivers, creeks, and low lying
areas. Localized flash flooding could occur with any training as
well, but the bigger threat will be from prolonged rain.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...

The Flood Watch continues for

* The southeast half of Central Alabama, including the following
counties, Autauga, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes,
Montgomery, Talladega, Calhoun, Chambers, Clay, Cleburne, Lee,
Macon, Randolph, Russell, Tallapoosa, Cherokee, Barbour,
  Bullock, and Pike.

* Through 6 PM.

* Rainfall event totals of two to three inches with locally higher
totals are possible through this afternoon.

* Rivers and creeks remain high from recent rainfall and the
smaller basins will be quick to respond to high rainfall rates
and associated runoff. Additionally, the ground is nearly
saturated and will produce quick runoff and possible flooding
  in heavier rain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
