  Laramie River near Fort Laramie affecting Goshen County

.Hydrologic Summary:

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flooded areas. Move to higher ground. The water
may deep enough to float you and/or your vehicle.

The next statement will be issued late Wednesday morning.

* The stage will rise above the flood stage of 5.5 feet at 12 PM
  Thursday.
* The stage will crest around 5.7 feet at 12 AM Friday.
* The stage will fall below flood stage at 06 PM Friday.

  Tuesday.
* The stage will crest around 9.7 feet at 12 AM Friday.
* The river will slowly fall Friday night and through the weekend.

* The stage will crest around 7.8 feet at 12 PM Friday.
* The stage will fall below flood stage at 06 PM Saturday.

* Impact...at 8.5 feet...Low land agricultural flooding intensifies
  and becomes more widespread. Homes along the North Platte River
  will be totally inundated with basement and overland flooding.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.0 feet
  on May 27 1973.

  The Laramie River near Fort Laramie
* The stage will crest around 8.7 feet at 12 AM Wednesday.
* The river will remain steady Wendesday and then begin to
  slowly fall.

* Impact...at 9.0 feet...Major flooding occurs at Fort Laramie State
  Park. River is overflowing along the right bank. Only minor
  flooding occurs at the town of Fort Laramie.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.7 feet
  on Jun 14 1970.
