...A Flood Warning continues for Crooked Creek in Meade County...

.Runoff from recent heavy rainfall has resulted in high water along Crooked
Creek. Flooding of agricultural and rangeland will continue tonight and
Saturday. Crooked Creek is near crest at Englewood and will begin falling
after midnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 Safety message...

Do not drive through flowing water or go around barricades.Nearly
half of all flood fatalities are vehicle related.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Crooked Creek Near Englewood.
* At  8:30 PM Friday the stage was 7.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  tomorrow early afternoon.
* * Impact...At 8.0 feet...Expect moderate flooding along most
  streches of Crooked Creek in southern Meade County. Both riverbanks
  will experience inundations up to 2 feet as the floodwaters
  continue their expansion onto the floodplain.
* this crest compares to a previous crest of 7.9 feet on May 17 2003.
