THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN JEFFERSON PARISH IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA...

* UNTIL 1230 PM CDT

* AT 1122 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN METAIRIE AND
  PARTS OF KENNER.  UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  METAIRIE...JEFFERSON...HARAHAN...ELMWOOD...RIVER RIDGE...
  BRIDGE CITY...AMA AND NEW ORLEANS ARMSTRONG AIRPORT.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 INCH IS POSSIBLE OVER THE AREA. THIS
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL MAKE MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
