* AT 620 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LARGE
CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS CONTAINING VERY HEAVY RAIN...MOVING EAST
ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...MAINLY EAST OF HIGHWAY 27...
AND INTO PORTIONS OF NORTHCENTRAL LOUISANA...NORTH OF INTERSTATE 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES MAY FALL IN A SHORT
PERIOD OF TIME...WITH SOME LOCATIONS RECEIVING NEAR THREE ADDITIONAL
INCHES OF RAIN BY MID MORNING. ALSO...AREAS WHERE MINOR FLOODING IS
ONGOING....WILL ONLY SEE A GRADUAL IMPROVEMENT IN WATER LEVELS ON
ROADWAYS AND LOW LYING AREAS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

TO REPORT FLOODING...HAVE THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY RELAY
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE.
