PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


Do not drive vehicles through flooded waterways.  Use caution when
walking near flooded riverbanks.  Do not try to wade or swim in
flooded rivers and bayous.

...forecast flooding increased from Moderate to Major severity...
The flood warning continues for
  the Red River At Grand Ecore, Louisiana.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* AT noon Thursday The stage was 36.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 33 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 40.0 feet by
  June 7.  Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact...Expect major backwater flooding on Bayou Pierre up through
  Evelyn and Powhattan, Louisiana.  Also expect major backwater
  flooding through Black Bayou as well as Iatt and Nantaches
  Bayous.  Expect extensive flooding between and near levees.
  Move livestock and equipment well away from levees.
