Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
301 PM EDT Mon Sep 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...The circulation between high pressure centered over
the northeast states and Hurricane Maria well off the coast of the
Carolinas will keep drier air moving south over the forecast area.

The nighttime inversion will develop between 8 and 9 PM this
evening, and break up between 8 and 9 AM in the morning.
A combination of weak mixing, limited low-level moisture and
some cloudiness will prevent fog from forming, and fair dispersion
is expected overall from late evening through early Tuesday morning.

Surface winds Tuesday will be from the north at 5 to 10 mph
after daybreak, and increase to around 10 mph for the afternoon.
Transport winds will be north at 10 to 15 mph from late morning on.
Relative humidities will drop into the 45 to 50 percent range.
