FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
309 PM EDT TUE SEP 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...WEAK HIGH PRESSURE WILL HOLD OVER THE REGION THROUGH
WEDNESDAY...WITH ISOLATED SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE TIME
OF MAXIMUM HEATING. A SURFACE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE MAY DEVELOP
BY THURSDAY AND PROVIDE A FOCUS FOR WIDELY SCATTERED AFTERNOON
ACTIVITY.

THE WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE POOR DISPERSION
OVERNIGHT THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...AND SOME LINGERING
LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE WILL SUPPORT PATCHY FOG NEAR LOW-LYING RIVER
VALLEYS.

WINDS DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY WILL START OUT LIGHT AND
VARIABLE NEAR THE SURFACE...THEN BECOME GENERALLY SOUTH BY
AFTERNOON AROUND 5 MPH. MIXING LAYER WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTHWEST
BY AFTERNOON AT 5 TO 10 MPH. RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL DROP
INTO THE 35 TO 45 PERCENT RANGE.
