Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College PA
424 AM EST Fri Dec 15 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A weak area of low pressure developing over coastal North Carolina this morning
will spread some light snow over the Lower Susquehanna River Valley mid to late
morning with a coating of snow possible. An approaching front will bring a chance
of snow showers to the Northwest Mountains later this afternoon, and to the West Central
Mountains and Laurel Highlands tonight. Scattered flurries and snow showers will
extend into the central Mountains tonight as well.

Lake effect snow showers will persist over the Northwest Mountains for most of
Saturday. The remainder of central PA will be cool and dry. By Sunday, somme rain
and snow showers will move into the region and last into Monday as we trend
toward some warmer weather next week.
