Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
Nantional Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
215 PM CDT Fri Jun 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front currently progressing southward will move through the
region this afternoon into this evening. Thunderstorms are possible,
with erratic gusty wind, lightning, heavy rainfall the primary
concerns. Winds will shift to the northeast behind the front, and
could become gusty through Saturday. In the wake of the front, much
cooler temperatures and increased moisture are expected, which will
keep fire weather concerns minimal this weekend into next week.
Recovery will be good/excellent, with rain/storm chances continuing
into next week.
