FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTH FLORIDA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL
417 PM EST THU JAN 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BE IN CONTROL FOR ANOTHER DAY OR TWO.
THIS WILL KEEP THE WEATHER QUIET THROUGH SATURDAY. THIS ALSO MAY
ALLOW THE SEA BREEZE FROM BOTH COASTS TO DEVELOP AND PROGRESS INTO
THE INTERIOR, POSSIBLY CAUSING SOME VARIABLE WIND DIRECTIONS WHERE
THEY COLLIDE.

ON SUNDAY, A COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO APPROACH SOUTH FLORIDA, AND IS
LOOKS TO BEGIN SPREAD SHOWERS ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF OF THE REGION
SUNDAY MORNING, AND PROGRESS EAST. THERE IS A CHANCE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS FROM LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. THE
WIND WILL INCREASE TO AROUND 20 MPH, WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH
POSSIBLE. THE WIND AND GUSTS MAY BE HIGHER WITHIN ANY THUNDERSTORMS
THAT DO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA. THE FRONT IS FORECAST TO BE EXITING THE
AREA BY MONDAY MORNING. BEHIND THE FRONT, SOMEWHAT COOLER AND DRIER
AIR WILL SETTLE IN.

FOG DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE IN THE INTERIOR AREAS FOR THE NEXT
SEVERAL NIGHTS.
