FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
327 PM CDT THU APR 28 2016

.DISCUSSION...

AN UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN WILL BE IN STORE FOR THE MID STATE AS THE
WEEKEND PROGRESSES AND INTO NEXT WEEK. AFTER A WEAK SURFACE COLD FRONT
PUSHES EASTWARD OF THE MID STATE TONIGHT...ANY ISOLATED SHOWERS PRODUCING
MAINLY LIGHT RAINFALL AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH THEM LATE THIS
AFTERNOON WILL END. GENERALLY MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
THE MID STATE TONIGHT...WITH INCREASING CLOUDINESS WEST TO EAST EXPECTED
ON FRIDAY AHEAD OF THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM ON FRIDAY...AS TEMPERATURES
CONTINUE TO REMAIN SEVERAL DEGREES ABOVE SEASONAL NORMAL VALUES. MINIMUM
AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES ON FRIDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 30S
TO LOWER 40S. AN APPROACHING WEATHER SYSTEM FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
WILL BEGIN USHERING IN AT LEAST MID TO HIGH LEVEL MOISTURE ACROSS THE
MID STATE ON FRIDAY NIGHT...AND THEN SPREADING INCREASED MOISTURE AND
INSTABILITY ACROSS THE AREA AS THE WEEKEND PROGRESSES. SOME MODERATE
RAINFALL MAY BE POSSIBLE ALSO ALONG WITH NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...
OF WHICH SOME MAY REACH STRONG THRESHOLDS...WITH GUSTY WINDS AND HAIL
THE MAIN CONCERNS. MINIMUM AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES ON SATURDAY
WILL GENERALLY RANGE FROM THE MID 50S TO MID 60S. THIS UNSETTLED WEATHER
PATTERN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEK WITH THE
POSSIBILITY OF ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING. HIGH
PRESSURE INFLUENCES WILL FINALLY BUILD ACROSS THE MID STATE BY
THE MID PORTION OF NEXT WORK WEEK...PROVIDING FOR DRY CONDITIONS WITH
TEMPERATURES FINALLY COOLING OFF TO MORE SEASONAL NORMAL VALUES.
