FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UTAH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
405 AM MDT TUE SEP 16 2014

...WARM AND DRY THROUGH MIDWEEK...

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE CENTERING OVER THE DISTRICT
THROUGH WEDNESDAY WILL RETAIN WARM AND STABLE CONDITIONS
THROUGHOUT. CAN NOT RULE OUT SOME AFTERNOON BUILDUPS OVER THE
MOUNTAINS THROUGH THAT TIME BUT THE CHANCE OF EVEN ISOLATED WETTING
RAINS WILL REMAIN NIL. DEEPER MOISTURE AND AN INCREASED CHANCE OF
WETTING RAINS COME THURSDAY/FRIDAY.

.DISCUSSION...DRY AND STABLE CONDITIONS WILL DOMINATE THROUGH
MIDWEEK AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO REMAIN QUITE WARM FOR THIS TIME OF
YEAR AS SUCH WITH VALUES RUNNING 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE
PEAK HEATING HOURS WILL AID A FEW MOUNTAIN BUILDUPS ACROSS THE
UINTAS SOUTH TO THE SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS TODAY/TOMORROW BUT WETTING
RAIN POTENTIAL WILL REMAIN LOW AS THESE STORMS SHOULD REMAIN QUITE
SHALLOW IN NATURE AND DRY SURFACE CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST. DEEPER
MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL DRAW NORTH AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING PACIFIC
TROUGH THURSDAY/FRIDAY INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR WETTING RAINS
ACROSS MUCH OF THE DISTRICT AT THAT TIME.

***THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY STRONG GUSTY AND ERRATIC WINDS***
***ALL WINDS ARE 20 FOOT...10-MINUTE AVERAGES***
