Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
240 PM MDT Fri Oct 20 2017

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT FOR
GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR NORTHEAST WYOMING
AND MUCH OF WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA...

.DISCUSSION...Very warm and dry weather will continue into this
evening with critical fire weather conditions across much of northeast
Wyoming and western South Dakota. Gusty southwesterly winds
will switch to the northwest this evening as a strong cold
front moves through the region. Much cooler air will move in
overnight with higher humidities. There will be a chance of showers
overnight into Saturday morning across parts of the area.

Cool temperatures can be expected across the area on Saturday with
higher humidities. However, gusty northwesterly winds will continue
across parts of the plains, especially northwest South Dakota. Warmer
air will return for Sunday before another cold front brings some
showers, gusty winds, and cooler air Sunday night into Monday.
