...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

LINGERING MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL RESULT ONCE AGAIN IN
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ACROSS PARTS OF THE AREA FROM
LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS
POSSIBLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING. THE CHANCE FOR
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DECREASE ACROSS AREAS SOUTH AND WEST
OF LAS VEGAS GRADUALLY OVER THE WEEKEND AS DRIER AIR STARTS TO WORK
ON IN. GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FROM MONDAY ONWARD.
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN NEAR NORMAL.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL STEADILY DECREASE THROUGH SATURDAY WITH
WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS STILL POSSIBLE NEAR THE HIGHER
MOUNTAINS FOR THIS AFTERNOON. DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED AFTER TODAY
WELL INTO NEXT WEEK. THE RETURN OF DRIER SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT HAS
ALSO BROUGHT A GREATER RETURN OF THE MARINE LAYER WITH THE MARINE
LAYER CURRENTLY NEAR 1500 TO 2000 FEET DEEP. THIS MARINE LAYER
DEPTH...WITH SOME DAY TO DAY FLUCTUATIONS...IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST
WELL INTO NEXT WEEK WITH TEMPERATURES MOSTLY NEAR AVERAGE.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

MOIST SOUTH TO SOUTHEASTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL KEEP A RICH MONSOON
MOISTURE SURFACE THROUGHOUT THE REGION TODAY. THIS WILL CONTINUE THE
CHANCES FOR INCREASED SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE ACROSS
SOUTHERN AZ AND THE HIGHER TERRAIN LOCALES. SFC WINDS WILL GNLY
FOLLOW TYPICAL DIURNAL PATTERNS...EXCEPT IN THE VICINITY OF
THUNDERSTORMS. TEMPERATURES WILL BE AROUND SEASONAL NORMALS UNDER
MOSTLY TO PARTLY SUNNY SKIES.
