...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

SOMEWHAT DRIER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TODAY AND FRIDAY WITH
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES MAINLY LIMITED TO HIGHER TERRAIN NORTH AND EAST
OF LAS VEGAS. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING WEST ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN
ARIZONA AND CALIFORNIA WILL START TO PUSH MORE MOISTURE BACK INTO
THE AREA SATURDAY BUT MORE SO SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. AS A RESULT...ALL
OF THE FORECAST AREA WILL HAVE A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH HUMIDITY INCREASING. SIGNIFICANT WINDS ARE
NOT EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK OTHER THAN THOSE ASSOCIATED
WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BRING DRIER AIR INTO THE REGION TODAY. THE
MONSOONAL FLOW WILL RETURN THIS WEEKEND WITH ISOLATED TO SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MOUNTAINS. EARLY NEXT WEEK THE MONSOON WILL
BE A LITTLE STRONGER. DEEPER MOISTURE AND AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE COULD SEND SOME THUNDERSTORMS INTO THE INLAND VALLEYS
MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. THIS WEAK MONSOON PATTERN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
THE END OF NEXT WEEK WITH SCATTERED AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE
MOUNTAINS EACH DAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT CENTERED TO OUR EAST WILL KEEP THE ATMOSPHERE A
BIT DRIER TODAY WITH ABOVE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES. MINIMUM RH
VALUES WILL MOSTLY BE IN THE TEENS ACROSS THE DESERTS. SOUTHEAST
FLOW AROUND THE HIGH WILL START INCREASING MOISTURE FROM THE EAST ON
FRIDAY ALLOWING HIGH TEMPERATURE TO FALL OFF SEVERAL DEGREES,
ESPECIALLY IN SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA, AND HUMIDITIES WILL INCREASE.
STILL, AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOSTLY BE CONFINED
TO HIGHER TERRAIN AREAS EAST OF PHOENIX THROUGH FRIDAY. WINDS BOTH
DAYS WILL STAY LIGHT, FAVORING TYPICAL DIURNAL TENDENCIES.
