Spot Forecast for Rockledge Wildfire...Florida Highway Patrol
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
827 PM EDT Mon Jun 26 2017

Forecast is based on request time of 2020 EDT on June 26.
If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather
Service.

.UPDATED DISCUSSION...There exists an increasing threat for visibility
reductions along I-95 between the exits at Fiske Blvd and S.R. 520 in
the West Rockledge-Cocoa area overnight. The smoke plume has shown a
tendency on radar to spread north to north-northeast this evening.
Light to calm winds coupled with afternoon rainfall will lead to near
saturated conditions, with surface relative humidity values near 100
percent.

While dense or widespread fog typically doesn`t form during the wet
season in Florida, this setup appears to favor significant settling
of smoke near and downwind of the burn zone.

It would be prudent for patrols to closely monitor I-95 between the
exits mentioned above, especially from 200 AM through sunrise.
