...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS LOW FOR THE ENTIRE STATE.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

A RIDGE IS LOCATED OVER THE MAINLAND TODAY... THIS RIDGE WILL
SUPPRESS MOST PRECIPITATION OVER THE STATE TODAY.  RAIN ASSOCIATED
WITH A FRONT FROM A SHORTWAVE LOW MOVING INTO THE BERING WILL BEGIN
TO MOVE ONSHORE OVER THE SOUTHWEST MAINLAND LATE FRIDAY NIGHT/EARLY
SATURDAY MORNING.  THE FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE WESTERN MAINLAND ON
SATURDAY AND CONTINUE EASTWARD ON SUNDAY.  ON SATURDAY THE HEAVIEST
RAIN IS EXPECTED OVER THE WESTERN GULF COASTAL REGIONS AND PARTS OF
THE SOUTHWEST MAINLAND... WITH 24 HOUR TOTALS OF ALMOST 2 INCHES ON
KODIAK ISLAND AND WIDESPREAD AREAS OF 1 TO 1.5 INCH 24 HOUR TOTAL.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER THE ENTIRE STATE.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER MOST OF THE WESTERN MAINLAND... OVER
THE AKPEN AND KODIAK ISLAND... AND OVER SOUTHERN AND WESTERN
SOUTHCENTRAL ALASKA.  THERE ARE INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF BELOW
NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER MOST OF THE REST OF THE MAINLAND AND OVER
MOST OF SOUTHEAST ALASKA.
