NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEWPORT/MOREHEAD CITY NC
701 AM EST SAT FEB 6 2016

...A MAJOR COASTAL STORM WILL DEVELOP OFF THE SOUTHEAST COAST
SUNDAY AND PASS OFF OF THE NORTH CAROLINA COAST SUNDAY NIGHT
PRODUCING GALE TO STORM FORCE WINDS AND DANGEROUS SEAS IN EXCESS
OF 15 FEET...

.SEAS OVER THE CENTRAL WATERS WILL REMAIN ELEVATED AT 6 FEET OR
HIGHER THROUGH SATURDAY WHILE SUBSIDING BELOW 6 FEET ELSEWHERE.

LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO RAPIDLY DEEPEN INTO A MAJOR COASTAL
STORM SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT PASSING OFF OF THE NORTH CAROLINA
COAST SUNDAY NIGHT. THE LOW WILL PRODUCE GALE TO STORM FORCE
WINDS SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT WITH SEAS IN EXCESS OF 15 FEET.

MODERATE TO STRONG WESTERLY FLOW IS EXPECTED IN THE WAKE OF THE
COASTAL LOW AHEAD OF AND BEHIND A STRONG COLD FRONT WHICH IS
FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE WATERS MONDAY NIGHT. THIS FLOW WILL
