THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A GALE
WARNING, WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PST TONIGHT.

* WINDS...EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTH 25 TO 35 KT
  THIS MORNING...WITH GUSTS 35 TO 45 KNOTS. STRONGEST WINDS WILL
  BE OVER THE OUTER WATERS...OR BEYOND 10 MILES FROM SHORE. WINDS
  WILL EASE A BIT LATER THIS EVENING.

* SEAS...8 TO 10 FEET EARLY THIS MORNING...BUILDING TO 13 TO 15
  FEET CLOSE TO SHORE LATER THIS MORNING INTO THIS AFTERNOON...AND
  15 TO 18 FT OVER THE OUTER WATERS. SEAS WILL SUBSIDE A BIT LATER
  TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.
