...Windy conditions across Far West Texas and Southern New Mexico
this afternoon and evening...

.An approaching upper level system with an associated cold front
will move across the region today with strong winds developing
for all areas east of central Grant county starting early this
afternoon into early Friday morning. The strongest winds will
being be during late afternoon and last until shortly after
sunset. Gusty winds along east slopes of mountains will continue
past midnight into early Friday morning. Blowing dust could cause
hazardous driving conditions.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
6 AM MST FRIDAY...

* TIMING...winds will increase around 11 AM today with strong
winds continuing through 6 AM Friday.

* WINDS...winds will have sustained speeds of 35 to 40 with
  gusts up to 60 mph...especially along the eastern facing
  slopes.

* IMPACTS...blowing dust could make difficult and even dangerous
  driving conditions. Strong cross winds could making vehicle
  handling difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

  strong winds continuing through 8 PM tonight.

* WINDS...winds will have sustained speeds of 30 to 35 mph with
  gusts up to 45 mph...especially along the eastern facing
  slopes.

* IMPACTS...blowing dust could make difficult and even dangerous
  driving conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
