...Summary...
The National Weather Service in Charleston WV has confirmed a
tornado near Ironton in Lawrence County, OH on May 24, 2017. A
storm survey sent by the National Weather Service observed
extensive tree damage including snapped trunks and uprooting from
otherwise healthy hardwood trees. Damage extends from Ironton
north-northeastward toward Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area. Roof,
chimney, garage, and porch damage was also observed at a local
residence.
