URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 9 PM PDT MONDAY FOR
WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE SANTA CLARITA AND ANTELOPE
VALLEYS AS WELL AS THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY MOUNTAINS...

.A hot and dry air mass will combine with gusty onshore winds on
Monday and Monday evening to produce critical fire weather
conditions across the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys as well
as the Los Angeles County Mountains.

WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
MOUNTAINS AND SANTA CLARITA VALLEY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A
RED FLAG WARNING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY. THIS
WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 9 PM PDT MONDAY.

* Winds...Southwest winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph with gusts
  to 35 mph on Monday morning and remain gusty through Monday
  evening. Local southwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph
  with gusts to 45 mph over the interior foothills into the
  Antelope Valley.

* Relative Humidity...Humidities will fall to generally between 6
  to 13 percent on Monday and remain below critical humidity
  through Monday evening.

* Impacts...If fire ignition occurs, conditions are favorable for
  extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and property.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A
RED FLAG WARNING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE
ANTELOPE VALLEY. THIS WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM to 9 PM PDT
MONDAY.

  to 40 mph on Monday morning and remain gusty through Monday
  evening. Winds may be locally stronger near the foothills of
  the Antelope Valley.
