No precipitation occurred over the area during the past 24 hours..
The tropical moisture from Bonnie will overspread the area today
and continue through early Tuesday. Showers and possible
thunderstorms will be possible at any time through this period.
Rainfall is expected to be the heaviest today across the Piedmont
shifting towards the coast by Monday. Amounts between one to two
inches are possible across the river basins, with locally higher
amounts possible in thunderstorms. The runoff from this rainfall
will result in modest rises in river levels early this week to
between half to three quarters bankfull in the James...Appomattox
and Chowan basins.
